Chamberlain Lane closed for two weeks for widening of KY 22

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) temporarily closed Chamberlain Lane at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6. The closure is due to the construction of the New Chamberlain Lane and widening of KY 22. Motorists must use New Chamberlain Lane to access KY 22. The roadway will be closed to through traffic until Friday, July 20. Local access is permitted.


Construction at the intersection of KY 22, KY 1694, and New Chamberlain Lane will continue, and improvements are expected to be made through the end of July.

KYTC has announced the following restrictions during this work:

     • Motorists traveling south on KY 1694 must turn left or right onto KY 22. Alignment of the lanes from    southbound KY 1694 to New Chamberlain Lane is not complete yet.

    • Motorists traveling west on KY 22 are prohibited from turning left onto New Chamberlain Lane until construction of the left turn lane is completed.
