KYTC Wants to Hear From You!


The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) wants to hear from you! They are looking for public input on proposed goals for increasing Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) involvement in highway projects.

The KYTC Office for Civil Rights and Small Business Development, which oversees the cabinet’s DBE program, is proposing an annual, overall DBE participation goal of 7 percent for federal fiscal year 2014. The federal fiscal year begins Oct. 1. Under U.S. Department of Transportation rules, the new goal would be in effect for three years.

The 2014 goals and methodology is available online at http://transportation.ky.gov/Civil-Rights-and-Small-Business-Development until June 25, 2013. Written comments will be accepted for 15 days afterward – until July 10, 2013 – and can be submitted online through the website or through the mail to:
